This Cancellation Policy establishes the guidelines applicable to the cancellation of lease agreements managed by Holland Properties Mexico during the 2026–2027 period.
Regardless of the reason for which the owner decides to cancel the agreement, the owner is required to provide written notice of the intent to cancel the lease at least 30 (thirty) calendar days prior to the start of the rental period. The owner shall be obligated to issue a full refund of the security deposit and any other advance payments made by the tenant.
The owner shall also be obligated to pay the total commissions agreed upon with Holland Properties Mexico.
The tenant must provide written notice of the intent to cancel the lease at least 60 (sixty) calendar days prior to the start of the rental period.
Advance payments shall be non-refundable, except in the following exceptional cases:
In this event, the owner shall forfeit the right to retain the security deposit and any advance payments effectively received.
This exception shall not apply in the event of the death of the spouse or direct family members of the contract signatory.
In the event of a serious illness of the tenant who is the contract signatory, and provided that an official medical certificate is submitted, a 50% refund of the advance payments and the security deposit shall be issued.
*For purposes of this policy, a serious illness is understood to be a diagnosis that prevents the tenant from traveling.
When a reservation is canceled in accordance with this policy, the applicable security deposit and advance payments shall be refunded to the corresponding party within a maximum period of 14 (fourteen) calendar days from the date of cancellation, without the accrual of interest.
When a reservation is canceled in violation of this policy, the owner or the tenant, as applicable, shall forfeit the right to any refund of the security deposit and any advance payments.
Any situation not expressly contemplated in this Cancellation Policy shall be subject to negotiation between the parties involved, without implying any obligation on the part of Holland Properties Mexico.
